Terms of use
plumbernorthernbeaches.au is a free referral service. When you send a request and tick the box, we pass your details to the licensed plumbers we work with. They contact you by phone, text or email. The plumber you choose does the work and sets the price. The plumbers pay us a fee for each request.

1. Who are we?
This site is run by Virture Pty Ltd (ABN 69 655 033 748) ("we" or "us"). These terms apply when you use this site or send us a request. By using the site, you agree to them.
2. What does this site do?
We connect Northern Beaches homes with independent plumbers who hold a current NSW licence. We are not a plumbing business. We don't do plumbing work, give quotes or send anyone to your home. Each plumber runs their own business. They are not our staff.
3. What happens when I send a request?
The form only sends once you tick the box. When you tick it, you agree to these terms and our privacy notice. You also agree that we can pass your name, mobile, address and job details to the licensed plumbers in our group. They can then call, text or email you about this job.
Every request goes to every plumber in our group. That means more than one plumber may contact you. You don't have to use any of them, and asking is free.
4. Do the plumbers pay you?
Yes. Each plumber pays us a fee for each request we pass on. You don't pay us anything. The fee is how this site stays free for you.
5. Who is the work agreement with?
If you hire a plumber, your agreement is with that plumber, not with us. They set the price, do the work and stand behind it. Quotes, payment, timing, warranties and any problems with the work are between you and them.
If something goes wrong, talk to the plumber first. You can also tell us and we will pass your concern on. If it isn't fixed, NSW Fair Trading can help with complaints about tradespeople.
6. Should I check the plumber's licence?
Yes, it's a good idea. We check every plumber's licence before they join, and you can check it too. Ask the plumber for their licence number and look it up on the NSW Government's free Verify licence register. Ask about insurance before work starts, and get the price in writing.
7. Is the information on this site advice?
No. Our pages and guides give general information about common plumbing problems. They are not advice for your home. A licensed plumber who sees the job can tell you what it needs. If there is danger to life or a gas smell, call 000 first.
8. What do you ask of me?
- Give true details, and only use a phone number or email that is yours or that you have permission to use.
- Only send real requests for plumbing work.
- Don't use bots or scripts to send requests or copy this site.
- Don't use this site to break the law or to harass the plumbers.
9. Can I stop the calls and texts?
Yes. Tell the plumber who is contacting you, and tell us at hello@plumbernorthernbeaches.au. We will stop passing on your details and let the plumbers know. Your request may already be with them, so it can take a short time for contact to stop.
10. What are you responsible for?
We are responsible for running this referral service with care and skill. That includes passing your request on as these terms describe, and handling your details as our privacy notice says.
We are not responsible for a plumber's quotes, work or conduct, because we are not part of your agreement with them. We also can't promise that a plumber will be free at a certain time.
11. What are my rights under consumer law?
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under that law, or any other law that can't be excluded.
12. Can these terms change?
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. The terms that apply to your request are the ones on this page on the day you sent it.
13. Which law applies?
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales.
14. How do I contact you?
Email hello@plumbernorthernbeaches.au. For questions about your details, see our privacy notice.
Common questions about our terms
Why do I have to tick the box?
The box is how you agree to us passing your details to the plumbers. Without it, we can't send your request to anyone.
Who does the work?
A licensed plumber. We pass your job to independent plumbers with a current NSW contractor licence. The one you choose does the work and sets the price. We check every plumber's NSW licence before they join.
Will more than one plumber call me?
You may get a few calls. That's normal, and it lets you compare prices and times before you pick one.
Do I pay you anything?
No. Asking is free. The plumbers pay us a fee for each request, and you only pay the plumber you choose for the work they do.
